The Pukou district faces the Changjiang River on the north, and it is sitting on the opposite side of the CBD of Nanjing. It is the west-harbinger for the Delta Region eradiating the inner part of the main land, and it is also the new urban area in the north of Changjiang River which is accompanying the development of Nanjing CBD.

Highway:

　The North Coach Station of Nanjing is located in this district.
　Transportation for crossing the Changjiang River: the three Nanjing Changjiang River Bridges which are open to traffic, I, II & III, the first tunnel which is across the Changjiang River in Nanjing under-construction (with the north exit located in the central area of Pukou, will be completed in 2008, open to traffic in 2009), the other two Nanjing Changjiang River Bridges under planning, IV & V, will make the Pukou new urban area and the CBD of Nanjing become the all and the one. As a result, the Pukou district can share resources of CBD of Nanjing more conveniently, which will help Pukou exerting its utility being the bridge and the connecting point between the Delta Region and the inner part of the main land more efficiently.

　Pukou railway station is located in Pukou district, which is 8 km away to Nanjing Railway Station.

　Pukou Port: 5000 tonnage level.
　Longtan Port: 32km away to Pukou, largest freshwater port along the Changjiang River, 50,000 tonnage level.
　Besides, there are also Pukou Ferry and Banqiao Auto Ferry for transportations to CBD of Nanjing.
