The Zhujiang industrial zone was established in 1994, it is one of the first 22 town level industrial zones approved by the People’s  Government of Nanjing. It is located in the Zhujiang town within the Pukou new district. The main transportation network is constituted by Ningwu Province Highway, 312 National Highway, the Nanjing Changjiang River Bridge III, Jinghu Railway Routine and Ninghuai Express Highway.

  The total area of Zhujiang industrial zone is 10 square kilometers in the layout, of which 2.5 square kilometers has been developed. Within the area, fundamental facilities have been setup on the whole. There is 10 kilometers’ long highway, consummate tele-communication by underground cable, water supply and drainage systems. At present, there is still 1.5 hectares’ land available for use. Meanwhile, for supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, 15 standardized premises with a total area of 40,000 square meters have been built, of which, 12,000 square meters are still available for use. The premises have two types, one level and two levels. For each type, they are 36 to 70 meters’ long, 15 to 19 meters’ wide and 6.5 to 9 meters’ high respectively. Besides, among the premises, there is 5,000 square meters’ area equipped with traveling crane accommodation. Presently, the industrial characteristic of the industrial zone has been shaped, with light industry, electronics, mechanics, plastics and architectural material leading the way.
